Dare to try Stradivarius BaROCK Symphonic, an electrifying show! Alexandre Da Costa, Rockstar of the violin, armed with his 1701 “Deveault” Stradivarius, offers you a daring experience that appropriates and revisits the music of composers who lived in the time of Louis XIV. Think of a Rock version of Vivaldi, Boogie & Soft Jazz’s Bach or Pachelbel’s famous Canon as you have never heard it before!
What would the music of the great and flamboyant Baroque period have been like if Bach had travelled back in time to immerse himself in today’s rock, jazz and electro-pop?
Accompanied by a Jazz Trio composed of John Roney, Éric Lagacé and William Régnier, the musicians of the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil and our conductor-soloist Alexandre will make you discover all the richness of this music, with a touch of madness! The Orchestra welcomes two very special guests who will join the musicians for a few songs: Bruno Pelletier, in Caccini’s touching Ave Maria, and the singer-songwriter with the feline voice, La Bronze, in La Passion selon La Bronze.
This virtual concert is recorded without an audience at the Plaza Theater, a magical place with a unique cachet!
